這首歌是媽媽咪呀音樂劇裡我最喜歡的一首歌。 十一月中和Ian去看這齣歌舞劇，看到劇中的母女一起唱著這首歌，聽著聽著讓我想起家裡的娘親，不知不覺跟著哭。 這首歌是我認為結婚典禮中除了女神的經典歌曲"Can you celebrate"最適合在婚禮中出現的歌曲外，另一首就是非"Slipping Through My Fingers"這首歌莫屬了。 歌曲的大意是，女兒要出嫁的當天，母親正為女兒梳頭髮，梳著梳著想起來自己的女兒小時候的情景。小時候的女兒在飯桌與媽媽一起共享早餐，吃完後女兒快樂的背著書包，揮著手 帶著微笑對媽媽說再見出門。 此時正替女兒梳頭的母親頓時覺得今天女兒出嫁後，她再也不能像以前擁有她以及天真的笑容，一轉眼間她的寶貝女兒隨著時間突然變成大女孩，無可否認，母親的心情很難過.....。 當我看著劇中的母親幫著自己的女兒整理出嫁的禮服時，兩人露出幸福的微笑以及不捨得分離的難過面容，讓我印象很深刻，我好愛這首歌，它讓我想起我最愛的阿母。
